Eric Johnson is a monster guitar player widely recognised for his violin-like sound and his extremely versatile playing, varying from rock to country to folk and fusion. He is the man that completed the first G3, alongside guitar legends Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai.

In this great interview by Guitar Messenger (which is also available in a 3 part video form), Eric tells us about his experience stepping in the shoes of Jimi Hendrix by playing in the Hendrix Experience celebration tour, about his gear and set up in general, his ideal sound and also about the time he fell off the stage!
